Carrying the load in Iraq
Article Abstract:
The operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) depends on the heavy equipment transporters (HET) that supply more than 130,000 soldiers and marines, and thousands of American civil employees in Iraq. The experiences of the truck drivers from the 96th Transportation Company, a regular Army unit, and California National Guards1498th Transportation Company are reported.

Commanders in Iraq: Some lessons learned
Article Abstract:
Squadron / battalion task force commanders namely Lt. Col. Jim Chevallier, Lt. Col David Hubner, Lt. Col Jeff Kulp and Lt. Col. Peter Newell, who are attached to the 1st Infantry Division in Iraq discuss the lessons that they learnt during their posting in Iraq. They also offer advice to other leaders who will be posted in Iraq in the future.

The 101st Army-Navy football game is described. The game was held in Baltimore, MD, for the first time since 1944, and it proved to be a hard-fought contest, with Navy ultimately winning by a close 30-28.
