China's strengthening relationship with Iran is likely to result in its domination as the most important economic and strategic partner in Tehran in the coming years. While Iranian support is crucial factor in China's pursuit of regional hegemony, China is supporting Iran in the Security Council and is also trying to prevent economic sanctions and military strikes against its ally.
