Close Combat is a computer simulation published by Atomic Games that helps Marines to improve their small unit infantry tactics. Close Combat allows a player to fight lots of scenarios, make many tactical decisions, experiment with different tactics, and learn for his mistakes.

Suppression is the critical infantry task

The most important element of an attack on an enemy position is the suppression of enemy fire. However, US Marines are not being properly trained in the vital field of suppressive fire. Observations, and suggestions, are discussed.
