Competence in all electric drive and stabilization system for tanks

Manfred Irgens, VP for marketing and sales at ESW-EXTEL Systems Wedel, said South American countries are planning to upgrade their Leopard 1 tanks, which they have inherited from NATO member countries. Irgens added that ESW-EXTEL has been developing all-electric drive technology for tanks since the early 1970s. He pointed out that ESW-EXTEL was able to improve the reliability of Leopard 1 tanks operated by the Norwegian Army through the use of all-electric drive and stabilization system.
