South Africa becomes major hub in global drug trafficking
Article Abstract:
South Africa has increasingly become an exporter, transit country and end user of illegal drugs and is being identified a major hub in drug trafficking in international drug trafficking. The structure of the illicit narcotics trade and the organized crime syndicates involved, the types of drugs being trafficked and the major import and export routes are investigated.

The Bight of Benin trafficking axis
Article Abstract:
Four Bight of Benin states along the West African Coastal Highway have a long history of internal smuggling and have become one of the major African hubs for transnational organizations trafficking drugs beyond the continent. The dynamics of the drug trafficking economy, responses to it and implications for the global drug trade are assessed.
