Congress advances SBP reform
Article Abstract:
The House and Senate in the United States has agreed to phase out the sharp drop in the benefits that most widows and widowers see at the age of 62, under the Survivor Benefit Plan. The 35 percent cover at the age of 62 would be raised to 55 percent by the year 2008.
