ETC gun/ammunition suite on track for FCS
Article Abstract:
Work is progressing on the development of an electrothermal-chemical gun and munitions at the US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command for possible use in the Future Combat System. The gun under development would have greater penetration and range than current gun systems and could fire different munitions including smart warheads.

US Army considers options for FCS protection
Article Abstract:
The US Army is looking for ways to better protect the planned Future Combat System which well be more mobile but more lightly armored than current Army vehicles. Some of the measures being explored include signature management and hit avoidance.
