Enabling information superiority in the littoral battlespace
Article Abstract:
An advanced concept technology demonstration (ACTD) called 'Extending the Littoral Battlespace' (ELB) could be the key to information superiority and eventually a revolution in military affairs. The ELB ACTD, described as a 'system-of-systems,' is designed to demonstrate an improved and integrated command, control, fires and targeting capability that will eventually allow dispersed units to quickly maneuver and control fire support in an extended littoral battlespace.

Commanding general's command and control (C2) intent
Article Abstract:
The commanding general's command and control (C2) system aims to enhance mission control and give subordinates sufficient understanding of the situation, and the commander's intent before the battle, while encouraging initiative and creativity once the fight is joined. It also facilitates implicit communications, visualizing battlespace reality, enabling centralized command and decentralized control, and ultimately to accomplish the mission.
