Enough is enough: An effective convoy vehicle is in Iraq, but more are needed
Article Abstract:
American soldiers are being killed or maimed almost every day in Iraq by improvised explosive devices (IEDs), with majority of the targets being in convoys, especially the Humvee. Effective convoy vehicles like the M1117 Guardian Armored Security Vehicle, offers better crew protection, but is limited in use and hence there is a need for more of these vehicles.

High-tech challenge: Terrorists present electronic warfare threat, too
Article Abstract:
The electronic warfare (EW) threats presented by the terrorists have made the Pentagon and service program officials to reassess how better to protect current and future EW assets and other electronics-based systems. The Army is designing a quick-reaction capability into future systems that could prevent enemy efforts to jam or spoof signals.
