F-22 faces another Congressional test
Article Abstract:
The US Air Force (USAF) may not be able to meet the Congressionally mandated test schedule for the Lockheed Martin F-22 fighter bomber due to several factors, which include the recently concluded stike at Boeing Co, the F-22's avionics subcontractor. If the test schedule is not met, Congressional legislators opposed to the program could block funding for it. The main problem facing the USAF and prime contractor Lockheed Martin Corp is the aircraft's Block 3 integrated avionics software.
