Future combat systems: Taking the current force into the future
Article Abstract:
Future Combat Systems (FCS) that represents the US Army's primary initiative to reduce or eliminate capability gaps within the future force assessed against the estimated capabilities of future enemy threats is discussed. The strategy would reduce operational risk by improving the current force survivability, its intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and its joint interdependence.
