Hungary faces up to threat from Islamic extremists
Article Abstract:
The arrest of a Palestinian Imam and two Syrians in Budapest in connection with a plot to blow up city's Jewish museum has raised concerns regarding the Islamist threat faced by Hungary. It was found that in 2000 at least two radical Muslims with strong connections in Saudi Arabia attempted to radicalize the Islamic community in Hungary.

EU members step up security on their new Balkan border
Article Abstract:
The expansion of the European Union (EU) has given way to people traffickers and organized crime syndicates to exploit EU's new Balkan frontier. The upgrading of the border controls of the new member states like Slovenia and Hungary would enhance the security of the EU.

Article Abstract:
Interpol held its annual conference just a few days after the 9/11/01 terrorist disaster, and the agenda switched to the topic of international terrorism. The emphasis was on cooperation and information gathering.
