Iraq: A precarious balance: We're entering a critical, one-year period
Article Abstract:
The United States costly and ambitious security undertaking in Iraq has entered a crucial one-year period of vulnerability, but its vital purpose for intervening in Iraq is being thrown into doubt by an increasingly ugly political, economic and military situation. The situation appears bleak for Iraqis, more than half of the American people believe the intervention was wrong and hence it is required to shift the focus from military transformation and address the war with single minded resolve.
