Article Abstract:
Surveillance, protection of Danish sovereignty, search & rescue, fishery inspection, and police duties comprise most of Island Command Faroes' mission. The Danish base in Thorshavn houses 33 naval and four civilian personnel, and one Ocean Patrol Vessel with a helicopter.
