Israel reviews its nuclear deterrent
Article Abstract:
Israel needs to determine the extent of its nuclear deterrent capability in the face of possible threats from other countries with better prowess in the nuclear weapons field. The country's present nuclear capability that is made up of small-yield weapons were developed when it was mainly threatened by ground-based forces deployed by its Arab neighbors. Israel will probably be using missiles from Zachariah against any future attacks though its nuclear material is stocked in the Dimona nuclear research facility. The Jericho II missile is expected to make up the core of Israel's defense forces.
