Limited defensive operations
Article Abstract:
The United States is continuing to develop capabilities to counter the threat of ballistic missiles, however, it faces a formidable challenge of establishing a ballistic missile defense system (BMDS) for protecting all 50 states. Secretary of Defense guidance emphasizes on providing limited defensive operations and developing a BMDS, as adequate and timely delivery of a missile defense capability protects the nation's ability to mobilize and respond to worldwide crisis.

Soldier armed: SnowGoose
Article Abstract:
The prime purpose of induction of Snow Goose, an unmanned parafoil aircraft system in the US Army is to distribute leaflets supporting Army and joint services Psychological Operations (PSYOP). Snow Goose has the capability to be air or ground launched and can distribute leaflets within fifty meters of its target and is also advantageous coastwise over the manned aircrafts.
