Military sealift command: Special mission ships program
Article Abstract:
Special mission ships program operating under the military sealift command consists of surveillance ships (T-AGOS), oceanographic survey ships (T-AGS), cable repair ship (T-ARC), acoustic survey ship (T-AG), and missile-range instrumentation, navigation test-support ships (T-AGS, T-AGM). Military Sealift Command (MSC) also operates command ships such as Coronado and Mount Whitney and has five special mission charter ships under its command.

Article Abstract:
Sealift program is part of the Military Sealift Command (MSC), which consists of fast sealift ships (T-AKR), large-medium speed-roll-on/ roll-off ships (T-AKR) and tankers (T-AOT) used by the United States Navy for its various sealift purposes during it's operation. Details of the features of the various ships used in this program are discussed.
