Paul Martin, Canada's prime minister has announced the start of a Canadian $2.1 billion project to acquire three new Joint Support Ships. However, lack of fund would seriously hamper the operational readiness and capabilities of the wider Maritime Command (MARCOM).

Missile problems delay indian frigate handover
Article Abstract:
Information regarding the delay in the handover of a Russian built Type 1135.6 Talwar-class frigate to the Indian Navy is discussed. Due to malfunctions with the Shtil-1 medium range air defense missiles system the ships production schedule has seen delays.
