The Navy League's board of directors has elected John A. Panneton of Virginia Beach, as the new senior vice president at the 2004 Winter Meetings held from 4th November to 6th November in Arlington, Virginia. Membership recruitment and retention are going to be the priorities of John A. Panneton when he takes charge of the leadership of the Navy League.

The Navy League's annual convention in Norfolk, Virginia, elected John A. Panneton, a retired Marine lieutenant colonel from Virginia Beach, as its president. Panneton said that membership recruitment and retention would be his priorities during his leadership of the Navy League.
