Aerial delivery systems
Article Abstract:
Search and rescue operations require helicopter equipment capable of operating under adverse weather conditions day and night. Accurate navigation and capabilities to locate and rescue downed crew members are also necessary, as well as the capability to operate in hostile territories. These capabilities are exhibited by the US Army's Boeing MH-47E Special Operations Chinook, which is equipped with modular refuelling probe, FLIR and radar equipment.

Training aircraft - time for a new approach?
Article Abstract:
Advanced trainers still operating nowadays are close to reaching the limit of their potential. To save on costs, it would be better and advisable if armed forces adopt radical new designs with attitude-tolerant configurations, higher thrust/weight ratios and reprogrammable fly-by-wire controls. With regards to supersonics, such purchases can only be justified if the new trainer is a lighweight combat aircraft.
