Article Abstract:
The development of Non-Lethal Weapons (NLW), its definition and implications for maritime use are discussed. The development of NLW might initiate a number of new operational possibilities and also open a new set of factors and threats to be taken into consideration during the planning of a new operation and definition of the rules of engagement.
