Article Abstract:
The creation of Installation Management Agency (IMA), a single chain of command, communication and funding for the operation of most domestic and overseas installations highlights the Army-wide transformation of installation management. The IMA continues to forge ahead with the removal from its inventory of excess property from past base realignment and closure rounds, and effectively manages the growing environmental challenges surrounding its training lands and installations.
