Push to excel: Combat preparations of Company B, 1st combat engineer battalion
Article Abstract:
The Marines of Combat B, 1st Combat Engineer Battalion (1st CEB), during the months prior to deployment, made great strides in their preparations for combat and for ensuring the most effective combat engineer support possible. The Marines pushed to the extreme in their preparations with rigorous training that included, emergency destruction of captured enemy ammunition, foreign weapons course, route clearance course, and robotics usage and integration course.

Progressive reconstruction: Melding expeditionary maneuver warfare with nation building and stability operations
Article Abstract:
A brief review on the concept of progressive reconstruction (PR) in the Marine Corps that would integrate the war fighting functions with the necessary rebuilding of the target nation is presented. The evidences prove that by conducting PR behind combat operations, the Marine Corps would demonstrate the true benefits of democracy.
