RAF enlists QinetiQ to bridge network gap
Article Abstract:
The Royal Air Force has commissioned the UK science and technology company QinetiQ to fit an enhanced version of its receive-only Harrier Tactical Data Receiver (HTDR) to the RAF Harrier GR.9 close support aircraft. Pressing operational needs would force the HTDR to bridge the network gap before delivery of the RAF's definitive two-way Tactical Information Exchange Capability (TIEC), which is intended to comprise a part of the Harrier GR.9 Capability E update package.
