RAN plans new AOR ships
Article Abstract:
The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) is implementing the Sea 1654 maritime Operations Support Capability project which will replace its auxiliary oiler and auxiliary oiler replenishment (AOR) ships. The project will refine the capability requirements for the new ships and identify appropriate solutions to those requirements. It is expected that two or three multiple AORs will be acquired to support RAN task forces and operations at varying distances from the Australian mainland.
