India releases fighter RFP
Article Abstract:
India's request for proposal (RFP) for its medium multi-role combat aircraft (MMRCA) program was released in August 2007. The RFP, which requires the winning contractor to produce 18 aircraft in fly-away condition, was sent to six aircraft manufacturers. The other details of the RFP are also presented.

International trends in electronic warfare (EW) are discussed. Israel has been developing an EW program, and it is expected that other countries will follow, based on the availability of technology. India, on the other hand, released its request for proposal which aims to acquire 126 fighter aircraft.
