Saudi Arabia launches armed forces modernization drive
Article Abstract:
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched a large-scale program for the modernization and expansion of its armed forces. The new defense purchases involves amongst many other items doubling the fleet of LAV (PIRAHNA III) 8 by 8 AFVs in service with the Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG), the NH-90 in both the NFH-90 TTH-90 configurations, A330 MRTT tankers and CAESAR systems.
