Article Abstract:
A computer-based system, TRANSCOM, which will decide when a particular aircraft or ship will be arriving and also which shipping container will be carrying what specific item, proved to be very useful during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Logisticians describe that military services need to buy in to sense-and-respond logistics, which is one of the many future logistics concepts being explored by the Air Force.
