Article Abstract:

Conflicts between national states are no longer the only source of hostile attacks on nations and today's main threats come from criminal groups and terrorists who attempt to damage societies by attacking on peacetime structures. However, only military resources with cooperation from the police and political authorities are capable of coping with this new scenario and Sweden's handling of this problem is examined.
