Some theory on practice
Article Abstract:
The US Marine Corps increasingly reliance upon augmenting live training on actual equipment with training in simulation brings up the question as to how much simulation training is enough and what mix of live and simulated training is most effective. The learning curve for a task which gives a visual description of how an individual acquires skill to perform a task and improves performance through practice is demonstrated with respect to the marksmanship skill of a shooter.

Combined arms training for MOUT operations
Article Abstract:
The need for increased combined arms training in preparing for combat in military operations on urbanized terrain (MOUT) environment has been emphasized, especially in light of recent incidents. The modification of a portion of the current Combined Arms Exercise training accompanied by the construction of a live fire MOUT training complex with sufficient maneuver space, instrumentation and state-of-the-art technology could significantly improve MOUT proficiency.
