Spain to streamline police organizations
Article Abstract:
Spain has created a new single command structure to improve liaison between its two main police organizations after the 11 March 2004 terrorist train bombings that killed more than 1900 people in Madrid. The Guardia Civil has 250 agents in its anti-terrorist units, of whom around 50 are committed to the Special Central Unit (Unidad Central Espesial - UCE) dedicated to combating international terrorism.

Spain detains more suspects for 11 March bombings
Article Abstract:
Spanish police detained two more Moroccans on suspicion of belonging to or collaborating with a terrorist group following the Madrid train bombings on 11 March 2004. Abdeillah El Fouad was arrested in the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta on 2 April and Rachid Adil in Madrid on 6 April 2004.

Moroccan Islamist group linked to Madrid bombs
Article Abstract:
Three Moroccans were arrested in connection with Madrid bombings that killed 200 on 11 March 2004. They are said to be members of Al Oussououd Al Khalidine, a cell that forms part of the Salafiya Jihadiya network.
