Support for the soldier: Life-Cycle Management at Red stone Arsenal
Article Abstract:
The Army's first Life-Cycle Management Command (LCMC) was established at Redstone Arsenal by signing of an implementation directive between Claude Bolton, the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology and General Paul Kern, the then commander of Army Materiel Command on 5th October 2004. Details of the LCMC and its important priority to reduce the burden on the soldiers are discussed.

Seamless integration from space to mud

The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) conducts mission-related research, development and acquisition for supporting the Army, the Missile Defense Agency and U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) for existing and future operations. SMDC is working to increase the importance of space by assimilating space products into the systems and architectures that would support Army and joint operations.

Future combat systems
Article Abstract:
The Future Combat System Unit of Action (UA) is organized in combat configurations to be 100 percent mobile and completely self-sufficient for upto 72 hours of high-intensity contact upon delivery into area of operations. Each UA echelon commander will have the combat leverage to make contact with and defeat numerically superior forces employing equal or better weapons systems.
