The Key Volunteer Network (KVN) is a system used by a spouse of a marine in the unit when communication directly is not available by providing a communication link between the command and their spouse. A brief description of Congressman J.C. Watts's difficulty in communicating with his wife is provided, which reveals that phones and the Internet are the best options for communication.
