Swiss Army hones skills in urban terrain
Article Abstract:
The defence specialist RUAG and the Swiss Army have successfully demonstrated the first platoon-level attack at the new Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) facility in Walenstadt, Switzerland. RAUG exhibited its new Combined Arms Simulation Environment for Combat Operations in Urban Terrain (COSCOUT) training module, which has utilized all existing instrumentation of the Combined Arms Direct Fire and Area Weapon Training System (CODARTS), with specific additions for MOUT training.
