TNO trains analysts for crisis operations
Article Abstract:
TNO Defence, Security and Safety (The Hague, the Netherlands) is training operational analysts that can be deployed into crisis areas as part of the Netherlands armed forces expeditionary operations. The Netherlands and NATO are jointly trying to build a community of operational analysts, whose skills are in demand to help the military find the best way to operate in complex conflict or mission scenarios such as Afghanistan or Iraq.

Euro-NATO pilot training nations plan revamp for next generation of fighters
Article Abstract:
The 13 NATO countries jointly supporting the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training programme will decide in March 2006 to drastically modernize the pilot training course, known as ENJJPT 2008. The improvement is designed to adapt the syllabus to meet the requirements of new fifth-generation fighter aircraft, to attract new customers and to take advantage of the new trainer aircrafts and simulator facilities.

TNO develops ROBIN radar software for bird detection
Article Abstract:
TNO has developed a new version of its ROBIN bird detection for military operations. The new version, known as Robin-4, is based on the ROBIN-2 system built in 1998, but is optimized for advance, high-speed computer architectures.
