Tactical night vision systems update
Article Abstract:
An initial operational test and evaluation of night vision systems for the Army has been completed, and Raytheon Electronic Systems is preparing for production. Details of this upgraded night vision system, to be used by initial brigade combat teams, are discussed.

Aviation systems update
Article Abstract:
The Apache, Black Hawk, and Chinook attack helicopters have served the Army well, but they are in need of a recapitalization program if future problems are to be avoided. It is anticipated that Comanche helicopters will be the next generation.

The high-mobility artillery rocket system, while still in the development stage, promises to provide a lightweight, rapidly deployable rocket weapons capability. The system has a 300-kilometer range.
