Bjorn Malmus, the first Squadron Commander of the new German Naval Air Arm P-3C Orion MPA Squadron, provides a short background on his career in the German Naval Arm. He reveals that even though the German Ministry of Defense considered the P-3C acquisition program as an interim solution, the program could become a longer term solution until eventually, Germany would acquire a modern aircraft with more modern systems.
