The ethics of counterterrorism
Article Abstract:
The Center for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence hosted a conference on the issues concerning human rights and terrorism. During the conference, the lack of a commonly accepted definition of terrorism and terrorist acts was recognized as a major obstacle to dealing with terrorism and human rights issues within legal and legislative frameworks.

Seoul cracks down on organized defections from North Korea
Article Abstract:
The North Korean political and economic collapse and an increasing number of North Korean defectors crossing the border to the south has worried the South Korean government, as Seoul is still the destination of choice for refugees from the North. The security concerns being raised in Seoul by the influx is being examined.
