Australian federal government's ambitious attempt to remake the industrial relations system by placing seven IR bills before the Senate is in disarray. In announcing the reform package on May 26, 2005 Prime Minister John Howard spoke too soon since the pre-decided August sitting of federal parliament is postponed to October and plans for such a major time-consuming reform is likely to be delayed until the Christmas of 2005.

Judgment in Bali
Article Abstract:
Nine Australians were arrested on April 17 2005 for trying to smuggle heroine from Bali to Australia which is a serious crime in Bali. Schapelle Corby was the key accused in the smuggling of heroine and she also faces a death penalty for 1.4kg of dope.
