A knock against Canada

Moody's Investors Service announced in Apr 1995, that it was downgrading Canada's credit rating from triple-A to double-A. The downgrading was prompted over concerns about inflation and Canada's budget deficit. The move caused the Canadian dollar to drop temporarily, but then it rebounded.
