A systematically tested intervention for managing reactive depression
Article Abstract:
The acceptability, effectiveness, and cost of a therapeutic writing intervention is evaluated to reduce reactive depression, a common and frequently recurring adverse symptom by comparing the findings of a secondary data analysis. The evaluation concluded that the intervention was acceptable to participants, effective for managing reactive depression, and incurred a low cost.

Postpartum depression screening scale: Spanish version
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to develop and psychometrically evaluate the Spanish version of the Postpartum depression Screening Scale (PDSS). The results showed that, the reliability and validity psychometrics for the Spanish versions were slightly lower, but still in within the acceptable range, when compared to the original English PDSS.

Hispanic chronic disease self-management: a randomized community-based outcome trial
Article Abstract:
The health and utilization outcomes of a 6-week community-based program for Spanish speakers with heart disease, lung disease, or type 2 diabetes are examined. It was concluded that community-based program has the potential to improve the lives of Hispanics with chronic illness while reducing emergency room use.
