A trade deal in political limbo
Article Abstract:
There is growing concern among NAFTA supporters that the US Congress will not pass the trade agreement. Although Pres Clinton supports NAFTA, he is pushing for restrictions that would require Mexico and Canada to meet environmental and labor standards that are equivalent to those of the US.
