Air Canada rapped again over pricing policies

Once again, Air Canada is facing regulatory problems over its pricing policies, this time for charging too much on a monopoly route. The Canadian Transportation Agency announced it intends to order the carrier to cut its lowest fare between Vancouver and Prince Rupert, British Columbia. This is a route where the airline had a monopoly from July, 1999, to last month.

Air Canada unveils radical fare structure
Article Abstract:
A new domestic fare structure has been announced by finanacially troubled Air Canada. The country's largest air carrier, which is seeking concessions from its labor unions, must cut about $770 million in labor costs out of a total annual labor cost budget of $3 billion.
