Travel plans shaken up along with airport

Logan International Airport has experienced disruptions in its operations because of the collapse of its ASR-9 Surveillance Radar. The problems at the Boston, MA-based airport has affected travel plans of thousands of people over the 2000 Easter holiday. Federal Aviation Administration officials believe that it will take several days before the country's ninth-busiest airport resumes normal operations.

Newsstands that sell imported newspapers are losing business to online services and bookstore chains. Domestic newspapers are also providing Internet editions while foreign newspapers are beginning to offer news through their Websites. Newsstands, as a result, have shifted to magazines, are themselves offering Web browsers and other product mixes to make up for lost newspaper sales.
