Black, frustrated in his attempts to buy The Financial Post, announced plans to create a new Canadian daily newspaper. However, the market for such a newspaper seems limited, and the proposed venture may just be a ploy by Black to force Sun Media to sell The Financial Post.

Meltdown: seven nuclear plants are shut down in the wake of a stunningly critical study

Seven of Hydro Ontario's 19 nuclear reactors were shut down following a report by nuclear experts that detailed serious problems in all areas of operation. The utility will spend $8 billion to re-engineer the remaining 12 reactors.
