At issue: Should colleges offer lesbian and gay studies program
Article Abstract:
Prof. John G. Younger, Acting Chairman of Department of Classics, debates with John Zmirak, an editor of ISI Books, Wilmington over colleges offering lesbian and gay studies programs. Younger feels that universities should establish such programs if there is student and faculty interest stating that studying sexuality is a powerful tool for understanding society in all its forms. Zmirak feels that acceptance of homosexuality is a plank in a liberal social platform and should remain open to dispute.

Sexual awakenings
Article Abstract:
The college years are often times of sexual awakening for coming-of-age men and women and often people who are attracted to persons of the same sex repress their inclinations or express them in a furtive manner but the gay students since the 1960s have felt more open about their sexual orientation.
