BCSC orders First Marathon to pay $500,000 for Cartaway role

Article Abstract:

First Marathon Securities Ltd is set to pay C$500,000 after a settlement deal made with the British Columbia Securities Commission for its role in the Cartaway Resources Corp case. Previously, the company was ordered by the Toronto Stock Exchange to pay C$4 million in penalty, in addition to the C$250,000 imposed by the Alberta Securities Commission. The payout stemmed from the investment dealer's failure to supervise its employees involved in promoting Cartaway.
