For a few dollars more
Article Abstract:
The Motion Picture Association of America reports the average cost of making a movie in Hollywood doubled in the 1990s to about $75 mil. Increasing costs mean a movie must do well in its first weekend of release or it is considered a failure. Studios are cutting costs and overhead, but actors' salaries are increasing.
