Marleau ordered Canada Post to stop delivering advertising flyers or 'junk mail,' in response to a report on losses incurred by Canada Post and its unfair competition in the private sector. More than 100 businesses have complained about the unfair practices of Canada Post.

The limits of harmony: the experiment in Atlantic Canada may force other provinces to follow suit
Article Abstract:
Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and New Brunswick joined Quebec in agreeing to harmonize their provincial taxes with the federal Goods and Services tax (GST). This will put pressure on other provinces to follow suit. A standardized tax system could save up to $800 million.
