Brand new days
Article Abstract:
In December 1986, two teenage stockmen died while working on stations in Australian desert country. A 1991 inquest found it inappropriate for inexperienced young boys to be given the responsibility of running remote stations, and a 2001 court case is determining legal responsibility for the deaths. This type of death is unlikely to happen in 2001 because of improvements in technology and telecommunication.
